Location: Mansfield
Start Date: 13th April
Contract: Temporary (until permanent appointment is made)
Working Days: Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Fridays (full days)

About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Sports Teacher to join our Further Education department in Mansfield. This is a temporary role to support the curriculum while we recruit for a permanent member of staff. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and high‑quality teaching across a range of sport-related courses for 16–19‑year‑old learners.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver effective lessons across a variety of sports programmes.
• Support learners in achieving their academic and practical targets.
• Contribute to assessment, marking and feedback processes.
• Promote positive behaviour, motivation, and engagement in all sessions.
• Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements

• A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd or equivalent) or willingness to work toward one.
• Relevant degree or professional qualification in Sport or a related field.
• Experience teaching within Further Education or working with young people.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• A passion for learner success and development.
